In October of 2004 we coordinated the first Fresh Fire Missions trip to the country of Bolivia.
The team flew into La Paz, the highest capital city in the world at over 12,000 ft. where the first crusade was held. During the day the team went to a popular park to invite the people to come to the open air theatre at night. Jim spoke briefly and shared the gospel message to the crowd that had gathered.
Each evening a few thousand people came and hundreds gave their heart to the Lord as Todd Bentley gave the altar call. The local worship team gave themselves to worshipping the Lord with abandon, dancing, and helped usher in the presence of God. Each evening hundreds responded to the call for salvation.
There were healings from deafness, blindness, cripples that walked and several tumors shrank or disappeared. One man who had suffered a stroke and partially paralyzed on one side came forward to testify that Jesus had healed his left side and he was also able to see out of his previously blind eye. Another little girl paralyzed in her legs since birth began moving them and just needed strength to begin walking! A mother brought her small baby with a spinal deformity up weeping to say her husband heard the baby's bones cracking during the worship and the deformity was gone!! God was manifesting his healing power!
We descended by bus to a small jungle town along the narrow road winding down the Andes Mountains. There were a lot of prayers that went up on that "most dangerous highway in the world" and God took us safely there and back. In Caranavi some visited an orphanage or held pastor's conferences during the day and the Holy Spirit moved during the two nights of crusades.
One unusual miracle was a 12-yr. old boy who was deaf in his left deformed ear that had no ear hole. He began hearing even a whisper out of that ear! Praise God!
The final night there was such a heavy anointing, many were being touched, saved or healed and staggered under the weighty presence of God.
We praise God for the deposit of His presence, hundreds of souls saved, the teaching and impartation that were left in Bolivia. The hungry people asked the team to come back and we were touched by the openness and love of the Bolivians.
Thank you for those who have supported us with your prayers and financial support.
