MIRACLES ABOUND IN PUCALLPA
A small but powerful team accompanied us to Pucallpa, a rather primitive city in the jungle. Jim Drown (Global Evangelistic Missions) and I ministered each night of the crusade held in an outdoor soccer stadium. Hundreds of people from many different churches marched in a parade through the center of town to advertise the crusade.
Each night many were touched, healed, and delivered. Hundreds responded for salvation. We personally saw God heal blind eyes, deaf ears, the lame walked, and cancers and tumors disappeared…a twisted spine straightened out…a terminally ill lady was healed as she felt a hand inside of her removing the inoperable tumor.
WITCHDOCTORS AND BLACK FEATHERS
As we arrived at the stadium the second night we saw large black feathers strategically placed around the field by witchdoctors as they tried to put a curse on the meeting. In my opening remarks I welcomed the witchdoctors and those involved in witchcraft. I told them they would see the “real deal” tonight and would want to get saved. I then broke all the curses. Obviously their presence was not a hindrance to what God was doing.
Digital photos taken that night were absolutely full of angelic manifestations in the form of light orbs. They were the most incredible photos I’ve seen. In fact, some photos were so full of light orbs they blocked the view of the people.
MORE MIRACLES
Great numbers of people indicated they were healed during prayers for mass healing and individually through the ministry team. Here are a few of the testimonies…A man ran across the stage demonstrating his healing from 10 years of extreme difficulty in walking…a tumor disappeared from a man’s groin area…a lady with a tumor in her knee that caused difficulty walking was completely healed as the tumor disappeared. She could walk and run normally!...a 23 year old girl and a 17 year old boy born deaf and dumb heard and spoke for the first time…a man who could not close his right hand for 3 years said he saw a big man (a healing angel) come to him and heal him. He was so excited as he demonstrated to all that he could close his hand…a man with serious back pain because of a witchcraft curse placed on him felt the presence of God set him free and remove all pain…a woman who manifested a growling demon was delivered…another lady with pain in her abdomen felt a hand inside her pulling all the pain out.
Because of heavy rain during the day the field was muddy on the last night. We actually saw a few people fall and lay in the mud as they were touched by the Holy Spirit. After we left around midnight we were told that many more were falling out in the mud. The Peruvians stayed until 4 am to pray and worship God! Oh, what hunger!!!
Teaching and impartation were done by members of the team at the pastors’ and leaders’ conference held each day. Kathi did a session on healing the brokenhearted and many were healed and set free. Since the conference we have received reports of many other healings and the church is now overflowing.
About 20 pastors from the outlying jungle, thirsty for more of God, insisted they receive prayer and impartation before we left. The team stopped by on our way to the airport for this impromptu time of ministry.
ON TO LIMA
We ministered at one of the largest churches in Lima on their Independence Day. Several responded for salvation. One of them was a 17 year old boy who had to stop playing sports due to a knee injury. God healed him that night. The pain was gone. He demonstrated that he could do things he couldn’t do before.
Most of the team traveled to the outskirts of Lima where Wilma Grandez lives. She guided the team up the surrounding mountains to visit 2 of her 4 groups of impoverished children. This woman shows amazing love in reaching out to over 200 children providing meals, teachings, and great mercy to those in need. That night 9 more children received salvation.
UP, UP, AND AWAY WE GO
From Lima we flew south over the Andes Mountains to a small city in the high plains called Andahuaylas. The airport was at 11,300 feet elevation (no heat…burrr!). The city itself was at 9,000 feet so some of the team felt the effects of the altitude. We were met at the airport by a welcoming committee which included a full band and singing. These poor mountain folks were so open and joyful that we had come. A caravan of cars, some with loud speakers on the roof, and a large open truck full of people escorted us on the 45 minute ride down a winding dirt road to the city. It was a sight to behold!
Shortly after arrival Jim, Dennis Walker (Jim’s brother-in-law) and I were taken to a radio station for an interview about the meetings to start that night. The next day during an interview at another secular radio station, Jim prayed with the radio host ON THE AIR to receive Jesus. The phone started ringing off the hook as listeners called in.
HEALING ANGELS
The crusade was held each of 3 nights in the sports coliseum which was filled each night.
Photos taken during the meetings were again filled with angelic manifestations/light orbs. We saw many major healings from deafness, blind or poor vision, tumors, lameness, headaches, rheumatoid arthritis, deliverance from demons, etc.
Hundreds of people literally ran forward to get saved each night. The call for salvation was translated into Spanish and then Quechua (the local Indian dialect) spoken by over 20% of the city.
The pastors’ daytime conference was held in a church that seated 300. The standing room only crowd flowed out the door into the street. So hungry were the people that many stood for hours as they received a mighty outpouring of His Spirit…shaking and falling under His presence. Truly awesome!
Some of the team members visited an orphanage and prayed with over 40 children and their workers to receive salvation. One girl with thick glasses no longer needed them after receiving prayer. Others received a healing touch in their bodies, and of course love and hugs from our team.
Another afternoon, some of the team went to the local hospital going room to room down the hall praying for healing and salvation. Nearly every person prayed to receive Jesus and some were healed. Even as the team walked around town people would approach them asking for prayer and several were healed.
A BOUNTIFUL HARVEST
Everywhere we went people were getting saved. At the airport, several people waiting for their flight prayed for salvation. Also at the airport, 6 taxi drivers were let to the Lord. As we were leaving a hotel one of the employees asked to be saved! At another hotel the 2 receptionists asked for prayer for healing and both gave their hearts to the Lord…as well as the cook who ran after us for prayer. Well over 3,000 responded for salvation during our time in Peru. The actual number of first-time commitments was less because some of the same people came forward the next night also. Only God knows for sure!
